Tripartite-- Product Owner, Development and Quality Assurance in Project Management

ZenTao is an open source project management tool, developed by an Agile team and for Agile teams to manage software development projects.

In ZenTao, there are three key roles, product owner, Development team and QA team. The three roles cooperate with each other through working on stories, representing the Tripartite in project management. Product owners collect stories; Development teams perform tasks, and QA teams ensure qualities. Their relations are shown as below,

The basic workflow in ZenTao,

• Product owners create products;
• Product owners create stories;
• Project managers create projects;
• Project managers identify the stories of projects;
• Project managers decompose tasks and assign tasks to specific team members;
• QA teams do test cases and submit bugs.
